台湾

Ok, now I really must study Asian history.

I am learning history of Taiwan since YESTERDAY lol My Taiwanese friend tells me that Taiwan is a country. But on the other day, my Chinese friend told me that Taiwan is part of China.

I had never seen national(?) flag of 台湾　before.

At any rate, i would quote this article from Wikipedia

　台湾問題（たいわんもんだい）は、中華民国の全実効統治地域である台湾の政治的地位および主権帰属に関する中華人民共和国と中華民国の政治問題である。台湾海峡を挟んで中国（中華人民共和国）と台湾（中華民国）の沿岸部が接していることから、両岸問題とも呼称される。

My Taiwanese friend (actually his nationality is now Japanese... kind of complicated) is really nice guy!!! I want to learn how to speak Chinese( language) from him I want to make many friends all over the world
